This year’s Borussia Dortmund home jersey design is inspired the Champions League victory over Juventus from 1997 year. “The Black and Yellow” was one of the great underdog stories in European Cup final history” according to Puma. Dortmund overtook big favorites and title holders Juventus to win the 1996-97 UEFA Champions League in Munich on 28 May 1997 by 3-1, with goals scored by Karl-Heinz Riedle and Lars Ricken.
According to tradition, the tricot is dominated by club’s basic colors: black and yellow. The sleeves with narrow black and yellow stripes attract the eye. A black belt is designed on the back of the t-shirt, in its upper part. There is also a large inscription DORTMUND. The collar is V-shaped which is yellow on the front and black on the back, while the stamped team crest and sponsor logo, complete the look perfectly for any fan of the club from the Westfalenstadion.
